has also undertaken a wide-range of communications and marketing research
assignments while supporting A/E/Cs in the pursuit of new business. These
include:
School Referendum
Support - public communication programs on behalf of the architect
and public school districts including facilitation of Public Participation
Committees, development of Back-to-School and Koffee latch presentations,
telephone surveys of community awareness and values assessment, coordination
of letter writing campaigns, development of "Get out the vote"
newspaper advertisements and lawn signs and writing and development of
newsletters, web content and video-on-web presentations.
Client Perception
Study - Development of a strengths and weaknesses "perception"
survey; full coordination of printing, mailing and return; assessment
of results; and reporting of findings. Used to support improved sales
message and to improve project delivery. Strong firm supporters were solicited
to provide specific topic letters of recommendation.
Email Blasts
- A series of formally formatted graphic "glossy magazine" email
presentations of specified successful projects were developed on a market
basis for delivery every quarter as part of a consistent communications
program. All content was "of interest" to the market, providing
helpful information and not simply a presentation of good design.
Newsletter
- An award winning newsletter was developed, written, and composed on
a quarterly basis. It won an Honarable Mention in
the SMPS national awards program.
In-house Seminar
Series - As part of an internal communications program, a seminar
series was developed for a weekly luncheon to be attended by all employees.
Programs included Project Design, New Operating Procedures, Project Close-out
Reviews and New Products. This program was awarded AIA's
inaugural award for "Outstanding Education in Practice",
and was presented in a group session at the AIA national convention.
FAIA Nomination
- full development of writing and graphic submission, including coordination
of sponsor and nominee support letters, historic research, and desktop
publishing for this 100-page submission as per rigorous AIA instructions
and criteria.
